Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University (SMU)

smulogoSefako Makgatho Health Sciences University (SMU) is a located at Ga-Rankuwa, North of Pretoria, Gauteng Province, South Africa at the then Medunsa Campus .  It was formed on 1 January 2015. Previously it was known as Medical University of South Africa (MEDUNSA). It is named after South African politician Sefako Makgatho. The University opened its doors in January 2015 and continues with the academic programmes offered at the then Medunsa campus.
