The Limpopo Department of Health is recruiting 10 candidates to support emergency call-taking and dispatch operations at the Emergency Communication Centre in Polokwane.

EMS Call-Taker and Dispatcher Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
  • A Basic Ambulance Assistant certificate.
  • Current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Basic Ambulance Assistant.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Knowledge of Basic Life Support.
  • An understanding of Emergency Medical Services operations.

  • Professional telephone etiquette.
  • Multitasking and time-management ability.

EMS Call-Taker and Dispatcher Duties
