MEGA: Internal Audit Internships 2016 / 2017 in Mpumalanga

The Mpumalanga Economic Growth Agency (MEGA) is offering Internal Audit internship Programme for 2016 / 2017 in Mbombela, Mpumalanga. MEGA seeks to appoint three graduate with tertiary qualification in the field of Internal Audit on six (6) months contract basis. The interns will assist in performing internal control, financial, compliance and operational audits as required by annual audit plan.

The Mpumalanga Economic Growth Agency (MEGA) is established in terms of the MEGA Act No. 1 of 2010 and is an Agency of the Mpumalanga Department of Economic Development and Tourism.

Requirements

A B-degree in Auditing / Accounting or an equivalent. Applications must be South African citizens residing in Mpumalanga Province and they must be unemployed. Successful candidates will be given a monthly stipend.

Key Performance Areas

• The interns will execute already established audit programs for assigned projects within the required time-frame;
• Undertake as part of the team or individually audit projects as scoped in the audit process workflow by interviewing clients, documenting systems, testing controls and preparing working papers to support findings;
• Formulate audit findings and make recommendations to the client;
• Establish  a working relationship with the client to assess implementation of recommendations.
