10 x Msukaligwa Municipality Traffic Officers Learnerships 2026

Msukaligwa Local Municipality invites South African unemployed youth to apply for the Learner Traffic Officers Training Programme (X10 Posts) – Extended Closing Date 2025.

Learner Traffic Officers Training Programme Closing Date: 22 December 2025 at 12h00pm
Programme Location: Msukaligwa Local Municipality, Ermelo, Mpumalanga, South Africa

Understanding This Opportunity

Across South Africa, municipalities and traffic departments are experiencing a growing shortage of trained, disciplined, and community-focused law enforcement officers. At the same time, youth unemployment remains one of the country’s most urgent challenges.

The Learner Traffic Officers Training Programme directly addresses both realities.

Instead of demanding years of prior experience, Msukaligwa Local Municipality is investing in local unemployed youth, offering a structured pathway into formal law enforcement through:

  • Accredited traffic officer training
  • Practical road safety and traffic enforcement exposure
  • Supervised visible policing experience
  • A recognised stepping stone into traffic, metro police, or broader law enforcement careers

This is not casual employment. It is a formal 12-month training programme aligned with the National Road Traffic Act (Act 93 of 1996) and delivered in partnership with recognised Traffic Training Colleges.
