Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have one of the following:
- Grade 12 with:
- Mathematics
- Engineering Science
- English Language
- Mechanical Fitter Trade Theory
OR
- N3 Certificate with:
- N3 Mathematics
- N3 Engineering Science
- N3 Engineering Drawing
- N3 Mechanical Fitter Trade Theory
OR
- Engineering National Certificate (Vocational) – NCV NQF Level 4 (Mechanical Trade Theory)
Experience
- No prior work experience required
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Successful apprentices will be required to:
- Attend theoretical classes at an accredited training provider
- Obtain relevant plant training on site
- Complete the full curriculum for the Mechanical Fitter trade
- Adhere to training schedules and requirements as prescribed by CHIETA
