About the ANC Parliamentary Caucus Internship Programme 2025
The ANC Parliamentary Caucus is inviting applications from South African youth aged 18 to 35 to participate in a 24-month internship programme commencing on 1 August 2025. A total of 10 internship positions are available, offering young people a structured opportunity to gain experience in a parliamentary and political environment.
The internship provides monthly stipends based on qualification level:
- Grade 12: R3,500 per month
- Diploma: R5,000 per month
- Degree: R6,500 per month
This opportunity is supported by ETDP SETA and aims to enhance youth development, employability, and participation in public life.
Internship Breakdown (10 Posts Total)
- Grade 12 interns – 2 positions
- Diploma holders – 4 positions
- Degree holders – 4 positions
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Completed Grade 12, National Diploma, or Degree
- Between 18 and 35 years old
- Must be a South African citizen with no criminal record
- Demonstrated interest or studies in Humanities, Social Sciences, IT, or related fields (advantageous)
- ANC membership in good standing (e-card, membership form, branch list, or letter from branch secretary)
Skills and Attributes
- Sound understanding of ANC policies and programmes
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Computer literacy and good command of English plus any official language
- Ability to work under pressure and irregular hours
- Strong sense of reliability and willingness to learn
