Richards Bay Coal Terminal (RBCT) is inviting applications for its Operations Trainees and Plant & Rail Trainees Programme. This 12-month training opportunity offers a blend of theoretical learning, practical training, and hands-on plant experience, preparing candidates to operate key industrial machinery.
Programme Overview
The 12-month training programme includes:
- Theory and practical training
- On-the-plant operational experience
- Operating key plant machinery
- Psychometric and medical assessments
Minimum Requirements
- Matric or NTC3 qualification
Skills Required
- Strong learning orientation
- Good communication and decision-making skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Computer literacy
Behavioural Attributes
- Physically fit and capable of operating heavy industrial equipment
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Comfortable working at heights
- Age: 21 years or older
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts (06h00–18h00 and 18h00–06h00)
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Prepared to work in various weather conditions (sun, rain, wind, humidity)
- Positive attitude and willingness to work under supervision
- Self-motivated
