The University of Cape Town (UCT) has released its 2026 Undergraduate Prospectus, outlining all the degree courses and their Admission Point Score (APS) requirements. Faculty of Commerce

UCT’s Commerce programmes are highly competitive and designed to produce leaders in business and finance.

  • Bachelor of Business Science (BBusSc): APS 40+
  • Bachelor of Commerce (BCom General & Specialisations): APS 36–40

Subjects required: Mathematics (level 5+), English (Home Language level 4 OR First Additional Language level 5).


Faculty of Engineering & the Built Environment

Future engineers, architects, and surveyors can choose from a wide range of technical qualifications.

  • BSc in Engineering (Chemical, Civil, Electrical & Computer, Electro-Mechanical, Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics): APS 40
