Westcol TVET College invites unemployed, qualifying, former students to apply for Tutoring Positions in 2025. Successful candidates will provide academic support to students across various campuses.

Location: Randfontein & other Westcol TVET College campuses, Gauteng
Stipend/Remuneration: R150 per session (1 hour)
Minimum Requirements
Report 191 Engineering (REF: TUT/RFT/20/03/2025)
- 2x N3 all subjects – 65% average
- 1x N4 Engineering Science & Mechanotechnics – 65% average
- 1x N5 Fluid Mechanics & Strength of Materials – 50% average
- 1x N6 Fluid Mechanics & Strength of Materials – 50% average
National Certificate Vocational (REF: TUT/RFT/20/03/2025)
- Must have passed all subjects with 65% average
- Fundamentals: Mathematics (x2), Mathematical Literacy (x1), English FAL (x1)
- Engineering Related Design (x1), Welding (x1), Automotive (x1), ERD (x1)
- Office Administration: Office Data Processing (x2)
Report 191 Business Studies (REF: TUT/RFT/20/03/2025, TUTKC/20/03/2025, TUT/CVILLE20/03/2025)
- Must have passed all subjects with 70% average
- 3x N4 Computer Practice or Information Processing
- 3x N5 Computer Practice or Information Processing
- 3x N6 Computer Practice or Information Processing
Skills Required
- Communication and presentation skills
- Problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Teamwork and facilitation skills
- Computer literacy relevant to the subject
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist students with assignments, projects, ISATs, tests, and research
- Explain key concepts and demonstrate academic best practices
- Work closely with subject lecturers/mentor lecturers
- Prepare and maintain tutoring files and student attendance registers
- Monitor student progress and apply intervention strategies
- Provide feedback to lecturers and students where applicable
- Maintain confidentiality of student records
