Joe Gqabi District Municipality invites unemployed graduates to apply for the Institutional Internship Programme 2025.

Internship Location: Joe Gqabi District Municipality, Barkly East, Eastern Cape, South Africa
Duration: 12 months
Stipend: R5,300.00 per month (all-inclusive)
Internship Overview
This internship programme is aimed at equipping qualified graduates with practical work experience and exposure to the operational realities of municipalities. Interns will work with professional teams, gain valuable mentorship, and develop skills to make a meaningful impact in their communities.
Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be South African citizens
- Reside within the Joe Gqabi District Municipal Area (thorough verification will be done)
- Be unemployed youth graduates between the ages of 18 and 35
- Hold a 3-year degree or National Diploma (360 credits) in a relevant field
Fields of Internship & Qualifications
- Communications – National Diploma/Degree in Communications, Graphic Design, or Public Relations (1 post)
- Occupational Health and Safety – National Diploma in Safety Management/Environment (1 post)
- Project Management Unit – National Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering (1 post)
- Water Services Technician – National Diploma in Water and Waste Water (1 post)
