Swartland Municipality invites applications from passionate and committed young people to apply for the Youth Worker positions at the Sondeza Afri-Youth Camp 2025.

Camp Location: Ganzekraal, West Coast, South Africa
Camp Dates: 2 – 12 December 2025
Training Dates (Compulsory): 14 – 15 November 2025 in Malmesbury
Stipend: R1,200 + cell phone airtime (Free accommodation and meals provided during the camp)
Number of Positions: 11 Youth Workers (4 Male + 7 Female, aged 22–28)
About the Programme
The Sondeza Afri-Youth Camp is an initiative of Swartland Municipality, celebrating its 20th year in 2025. The camp will bring together 50 Grade 10 and 11 learners from West Coast secondary schools as well as international countries.
This is an excellent opportunity for Education and Social Development students preparing to begin their professional careers, and for young leaders passionate about youth development and leadership training.
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 qualification with experience in youth work after matric
- Degree/Diploma in Education, Social Science, or Youth Work will be an advantage
- Age between 22 and 28 years
- South African citizen
- Own transport to Malmesbury for training (14–15 November 2025)
- Physically fit (medium fitness level required)
- Fluent in English (speak, read, write)
- Previous involvement in youth development or community projects recommended
- Previous participation in Sondeza Youth Camps will be an advantage
- Name Clearance Certificate from SAPS required with application/interview (final certificate before camp)
