This structured programme provides an opportunity to gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in cable manufacturing, leading to a National Certificate in Power and Telecommunication Cable Manufacturing (NQF Level 3, SAQA ID 21011).
About the Learnership
The CBI-electric: African Cables Learnership is designed to equip young people with the skills, technical expertise, and industry exposure needed to build a successful career in cable manufacturing.
During the programme, learners will:
- Rotate through various production units.
- Work alongside experienced machine operators.
- Gain practical experience across different manufacturing stages.
Programme Duration: Until September 2026

Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this opportunity, applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Be between 18 and 35 years old.
- Hold a Grade 12 / Matric certificate with:
- Mathematics – minimum 50%
- Physical Science – minimum 50%
