About the IT Internship Programme
The IT Internship Programme is a 12-month work-based training opportunity designed for young individuals who are interested in building a career in Information Technology. The internship provides hands-on exposure to computers, networks, administrative IT support, and general business systems while working within a professional mining environment.
Successful candidates will receive structured workplace exposure, mentorship, and on-the-job training, enabling them to develop both technical and soft skills.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Must be based in Kathu (required)
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Valid Code 8 driver’s licence and willingness to travel to various operations
- Keen interest in computers and networks with willingness to progress in the field
- Basic administrative skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to be trained
- Must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act
Duties and Responsibilities
The IT Intern will be expected to:
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and friendly nature
