Position Overview
Position: Information Communication and Technology (ICT) Intern
The successful candidate will assist in supporting ICT systems and end-users within the organisation.
Job Purpose
As an ICT Intern, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting and supporting all end-users
- Attending to departmental ICT queries
- Helping to resolve technical IT problems
- Assisting in network and telephone management

Educational Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- National Diploma in Information Technology or
- Degree in Information Technology or equivalent qualification

Key Performance Areas

You will assist with:
- Keeping up to date with technological developments
- Improving networks, accessibility and system performance
- Implementing ICT risk policies (backups, access control, disaster recovery)
- Supporting compliance with ICT legislation and acquisition processes
2. Financial Control and Operational Management
You will help with:
- ICT equipment and software acquisition inputs
- Monitoring service level agreements (SLAs)
- Evaluating end-user support systems
- Ensuring compatibility of systems and new applications
3. Communication and Relationship Management
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in coordinating ICT forums and committees
- Responding to internal queries
- Communicating audit findings and recommendations
