Position Overview

Position: Information Communication and Technology (ICT) Intern

The successful candidate will assist in supporting ICT systems and end-users within the organisation.


Job Purpose

As an ICT Intern, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting and supporting all end-users
  • Attending to departmental ICT queries
  • Helping to resolve technical IT problems
  • Assisting in network and telephone management

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates who want hands-on experience in public sector IT support and infrastructure.


Educational Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • National Diploma in Information Technology or
  • Degree in Information Technology or equivalent qualification

  • Supporting compliance with ICT legislation and acquisition processes

2. Financial Control and Operational Management

You will help with:

  • ICT equipment and software acquisition inputs
  • Monitoring service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Evaluating end-user support systems
  • Ensuring compatibility of systems and new applications

3. Communication and Relationship Management

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in coordinating ICT forums and committees
  • Responding to internal queries
  • Communicating audit findings and recommendations
