About the Learnership
Macsteel Service Centres SA – VRN Gauteng is recruiting learners for the Production Technology Learnership Programme.
Successful candidates will:
- Receive a monthly stipend
- Be placed within the company for practical workplace training
- Complete a full 12-month learnership programme
- Gain hands-on experience in a technical production environment
The intake is merit-based, and only candidates who meet all the requirements will be considered.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Minimum 50% in English (Essential)
- Minimum 50% in Mathematics (Essential)
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (read, write and speak)
- Age between 18 – 28 years
- Must be available to complete the full 12-month training programme
- Must reside in Germiston or surrounding areas
Important:
- No immediate family members from VRN Gauteng, VRN Central Warehouse or VRN Head Office may apply.
Duties and Responsibilities
Learners will:
- Assist with production line activities
- Learn production machine procedures
- Support operators and supervisors with operational tasks
- Understand operational and distribution workflows
- Participate in skills assessments and practical training
This programme provides exposure to real manufacturing operations in a steel production environment.
