About the Role
Motus Daimler Trucks Polokwane currently has a vacancy for an Apprentice: Level 1.
Reporting to the Service Manager, the main purpose of the position is to repair Trucks and Buses according to dealer and distributor standards in the most productive and efficient manner.
This opportunity is ideal for technically inclined candidates who want to build a career in diesel mechanics and commercial vehicle servicing.
Key Responsibilities
As an Apprentice, you will:
- Carry out fault diagnosis to speed up vehicle servicing.
- Use diagnostic equipment during vehicle examinations.
- Follow DCSA procedures and policies during repairs.
- Ensure faults are accurately diagnosed to customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with Service Advisors to explain technical issues.
- Assist with breakdown calls when required.
- Ensure vehicles are returned in neat and clean condition.
- Sign for parts and ensure proper usage on relevant vehicles.
- Complete job cards and documentation accurately.
- Attend training courses provided by Daimler and Cargo Motors.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Specific Role Responsibilities
- Provide technical and diagnostic services within the service department.
- Utilise modern diagnostic equipment effectively.
- Discuss service details with customers when required.
- Service electrical equipment as needed.

Minimum Requirements

- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science
- N2 Certificate with:
