Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa is offering a 12-month Visual Merchandiser Learnership aimed at equipping unemployed youth with practical sales, merchandising, and customer service skills. The programme provides structured workplace learning combined with practical experience in retail environments.
Successful learners will gain valuable commercial knowledge while supporting in-store sales activities and merchandising standards across various retail outlets.
About the Learnership Programme
The Unemployed Learner Visual Merchandiser Learnership focuses on developing the practical skills required to support retail execution and sales growth. Learners will assist with customer service, order taking, and merchandising activities to ensure Coca-Cola products are properly displayed and available to customers.
Participants will also learn how to implement and monitor merchandising standards while working closely with the Sales Team and Account Developers.
The learnership runs for 12 months and requires learners to obtain a minimum of 120 credits to complete the qualification.
Key Responsibilities
In-Store Execution and Merchandising
Learners will assist with:
- Executing daily store visits across assigned retail outlets
- Implementing visual merchandising standards and product displays
- Ensuring product availability, quality, and visibility in stores
- Performing stock rotation according to company guidelines
- Completing in-store surveys and execution scorecards such as iRED surveys
Customer Support
Learners will also:
- Assist customers with placing orders using the MyCCBA platform
- Support promotional campaigns and brand visibility activities
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure smooth retail operations
- Provide relief support when required by the line manager
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 with Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy (minimum 40%)
- Grade 12 English and a second language (minimum 40%)
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be between 18 and 35 years old
- Must be unemployed at the time of appointment
- Must not be enrolled in any full-time studies or learnership
- Must not have previously completed the same qualification or learnership
- Must have no criminal or adverse credit record
- Must be willing to work six days per week
- Must consent to criminal, ID and qualification verification
Advantageous

- A post-matric qualification in Sales and Marketing
