About the SASSA Internship and WIL Programme 2026
SASSA is offering both Graduate Internships (24 months) and TVET Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities (18 months).
These programmes are designed to provide:
- Structured workplace experience
- Skills development in the public sector
- Monthly stipends
- Improved employability
Programme Duration and Stipend
Graduate Internship
- Duration: 24 months
- Stipend: R7 860.50 per month
TVET WIL Programme
- Duration: 18 months
- Stipend: R5 639.75 per month

Financial Accounting (Ref: SASIn – 04)
- National Diploma / Degree in Financial Accounting
Risk Management and Compliance (Ref: SASIn – 05)
- Forensic Investigation / Compliance Management
SASSA TVET Work Integrated Learning Programme
Open to N6 students in:
- Industrial Engineering
- Management Services
- Management Assistant
- Financial Accounting
- Business Studies
- Public Administration
WIL Placement Locations
Placements are available across KwaZulu-Natal districts:
- Durban District (Nsimbi and Urban Local Offices)
- Ulundi District (Mbazwana Local Office)
- Midlands District (Weenen Local Office)
- Pietermaritzburg District (Camperdown Local Office)
- KZN Regional Office (various units including Finance, ICT, Legal Services, Customer Care, Executive Support)
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be South African citizens
- Be between 18 and 35 years old
- Be unemployed
- Meet qualification requirements for the selected programme
- Submit a completed Z83 application form
- Submit a detailed CV
- Include the correct reference number in the email subject line

- Certified copy of ID
- Certified copies of qualifications
- Academic transcript
- Driver’s licence (if applicable)
