Internship Overview
The University of the Free State (UFS) is offering a 12-month internship opportunity within the Teaching and Learning environment, focusing on Assessment and Blended Learning Innovation Support Services.
Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R9,497.50 and gain hands-on experience in e-learning, assessment systems, and academic support.
Position Details
Position Title: Intern – Technology in Teaching and Learning (Assessment Blended Learning Innovation Support and Services)
Duration: 12 Months
Salary: R9,497.50 per month
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing e-assessment activities and question banks
- Support scheduling of assessments on UFS online platforms
- Develop training materials for objective assessments
- Assist with training of students and academic staff
- Collect and analyse data, including report writing
- Provide support for users of online learning and assessment systems
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or B-Tech (NQF Level 7)
- Have no previous formal work experience
- Not be participating in another internship or learnership
- Be available for the full 12-month period
- Be willing to sign an internship/learnership agreement
Advantageous
- Postgraduate qualification
- Experience as a Tutor, Student Assistant, or Teaching Assistant
- Familiarity with Learning Management or Assessment Systems
Competencies Required
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to collaborate and work under supervision
