The Vaal University of Technology (VUT) has officially confirmed that the 2026 Autumn Graduation ceremonies will take place from 13 April to 24 April 2026.
Graduates are encouraged to carefully follow all official instructions to ensure a smooth, organised, and memorable graduation experience.

Graduation Session Times
VUT will host two main sessions daily:
First Session – 09:00
- Information Technology (Diploma)
Second Session – 13:00
- Information Technology (Advanced Diploma)
- Information Technology (Postgraduate Diploma)
- Information Technology (Master’s and PhD Degrees)
Arrival and Seating Times (Very Important)
Graduates must follow the official arrival schedule strictly:

What to Do When You Arrive
Upon arrival at the Desmond Tutu Great Hall:
- Report to the foyer registration table
- Collect your seating card and guest tickets
- Proceed for graduation regalia collection on campus
Guest Attendance Rules
- Each graduate may invite a maximum of TWO (2) guests only
- No extra guests will be allowed
- Guests must:
- Have a valid ticket
- Be seated 30 minutes before the ceremony
- Arrive early to avoid being turned away
👉 Late guests will not be allowed into the main hall, but an overflow venue will be available.
