Internship Overview
West Coast District Municipality is offering 3 Financial Services Internship positions under the Municipal Finance Management Internship Programme (MFMIP).
This structured programme is designed to provide graduates with practical training and hands-on experience in municipal budgeting, finance, and treasury operations, in line with the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA).

- Department: Financial Services
- Number of Posts: 3
- Contract Duration: 1-year (renewable for another year)
- Salary: R96 000 – R144 000 per annum (all-inclusive)

Focus Areas
Successful candidates will gain experience in:
- Internal Auditing (1 post)
- Finance & Supply Chain Management (2 posts)
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A 3-year Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in:
- Accounting
- Economics
- Finance
- Including majors in:
- Risk Management and/or
- Auditing
- Be between 21 and 35 years old
- Willingness to sign an internship agreement
