Key Duties and Responsibilities
Apprentices will:
- Assist with installation, assembly, and dismantling of machinery
- Perform maintenance on motors, conveyors, pumps, and gearboxes
- Learn to read blueprints and technical diagrams
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
- Align and maintain machinery using appropriate tools
- Clean and lubricate equipment
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Attend classroom-based training sessions
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4
- Experience in construction, maintenance, or mechanical trades (advantageous)
- Enrolment in or completion of a pre-apprenticeship programme (advantageous)
- Passion for mechanical and maintenance work
- Ability to work in physically demanding and outdoor environments
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Good communication and teamwork skills
