About the Apprenticeship Programme

The Woodlands Dairy Millwright Apprenticeship Programme offers aspiring technicians an opportunity to develop into qualified and trade-tested Millwrights through structured technical training and workplace exposure.

Successful candidates will receive:

  • Formal theoretical training
  • Practical workplace experience
  • Mentorship in mechanical and electrical disciplines
  • Exposure aligned with FoodBev SETA requirements
  • Preparation for trade testing and certification

The programme runs for a 36-month contract period.

Key Responsibilities

Successful apprentices will:

  • Participate in a registered Millwright Apprenticeship Programme
  • Complete all required theoretical and practical training
  • Gain exposure to mechanical and electrical maintenance and installation
  • Comply with FoodBev SETA apprenticeship requirements and assessments

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Technical Grade 12 or N3 qualification
  • Qualification in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong interest in becoming a qualified Millwright
  • Willingness to undergo structured apprenticeship training
  • Good work ethic and technical aptitude
  • Reliability and commitment to learning
