Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have a Degree or National Diploma in Human Resources.

Applicants must also submit a certified copy of their academic record with results sheet.

Candidates must be proficient in communication and writing skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.

Applicants must be computer literate and must be between the ages of 21 and 35.

Applicants must also be residents of the Laingsburg area.

The purpose of the internship is to provide a young graduate with local government experience in all aspects of the functions of the Human Resources Section.

Requirements

Applicants must have a BCom Degree, National Diploma or equivalent qualification, preferably majoring in Accounting.

Applicants must have good verbal and written communication skills in Afrikaans and English.

Candidates must also be computer literate and have knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel applications.

Responsibilities

Successful candidates will assist with adherence to GRAP principles and budget procedures.

They will assist in the development of statistical reporting modules, financial policies and financial statements.

They will also assist with the compilation of budgets, financial statements and management reports.

Other duties include assisting with reconciliations and financial analyses, electronic capturing of financial data, and performing financial administration duties.

Interns may also rotate within different departments over the internship period.
