Umzimvubu Municipality Work Integrated Learning Programme 2026

Umzimvubu Local Municipality is inviting applications from students who need Work Integrated Learning / In-Service Training before obtaining their full qualifications.

This programme is aimed at helping students gain practical workplace experience in a municipal environment and accelerate their careers in different fields.

Fields of Study

The Work Integrated Learning / In-Service Training opportunities are available in the following fields:

Human Resources Management

Directorate: Corporate Services

Applicants studying Human Resources Management and who require workplace exposure may apply.

Citizen and Community Development / Public Administration / Management

Directorate: Citizen and Community Services

Applicants studying Citizen and Community Development, Public Administration or Management may apply.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the Work Integrated Learning / In-Service Training Programme, applicants must:

Be students from registered institutions under the Department of Higher Education and Training.

Need Work Integrated Learning / In-Service Training to complete their qualifications.

Have completed all theoretical learning.

Submit a signed letter from the institution confirming that the student requires such learning.

Be from the Umzimvubu Local Municipality area of jurisdiction, including Mount Frere, KwaBhaca, Mount Ayliff and eMaxesibeni.

Attach proof of residence from a Ward Councillor.

Comprehensive Curriculum Vitae.

Certified copies of educational certificates.

Copy of South African Identity Document.

Proof of residence obtained from the Ward Councillor.
