About the SASSA WIL Programme 2026

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) is offering Work Integrated Learning opportunities for TVET college learners who need practical workplace experience to complete their qualifications.

The programme is aimed at learners who have completed their N6 qualification or have an official statement of results and require workplace exposure to qualify for their National Diploma.

Successful candidates will be appointed on contracts of up to 18 months and will receive a monthly stipend of R5 865.25.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be South African citizens
  • Must have an N6 Certificate or Statement of Results
  • Must require workplace experience to complete their qualification
  • Must submit a letter from their institution confirming the need for Work Integrated Learning
  • Must meet the qualification requirements for the specific placement being applied for

Applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements may not be considered.

  • Comprehensive CV
  • N6 Certificate or Statement of Results
  • Letter from the institution confirming the required workplace experience period
  • CV indicating completed subjects and modules
