About the PwC CA Programme Bursary 2027

PwC is inviting students who want to become Chartered Accountants to apply for the Bursary – CA Programme 2027.

This bursary opportunity is linked to the PwC CA(SA) Chartered Accounting Training Programme. It gives qualifying students financial support while creating a pathway to start a learnership after completing an Honours degree or receiving the Certificate in the Theory of Accounting.

PwC is looking for students who are committed to building a career in chartered accounting and who are studying, or planning to study, towards a SAICA-accredited qualification at a SAICA-accredited university.

Who Should Apply?

This bursary is suitable for students who intend to become Chartered Accountants and are either studying or planning to study towards the appropriate SAICA-accredited degree.

Applicants must be committed to the CA(SA) career path and must meet PwCโ€™s academic requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Must intend to become a Chartered Accountant
  • Must be studying or intending to study the appropriate SAICA-accredited degree
  • Must study at a SAICA-accredited university
  • Must have Grade 12 with matric exemption and university acceptance
  • Must have Mathematics and English as subjects
  • Maths Literacy does not qualify
  • Must have a B symbol for Mathematics and English
  • Must have an average of 75% for all Grade 12 subjects
  • First and second year university students must have an overall average of 70%
  • Third and fourth year undergraduate university students must have an average of 65%
  • Must be proficient in English
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Must be a South African citizen or permanent resident

Important Note

Applicants should not apply if they do not meet the minimum requirements.

PwC also states that the bursary is not intended for students who need to complete a Bridging Course to qualify for the appropriate postgraduate studies.
