Dube TradePort Bursary Programme 2027

Dube TradePort is offering bursary funding to undergraduate students who reside in KwaZulu-Natal and meet the programmeโ€™s academic and financial requirements.

The bursary is available to students entering their first, second, third or fourth year of undergraduate study at selected KwaZulu-Natal universities.

Fields of Study

Bursaries will be awarded for undergraduate studies in the following fields:

  • Agricultural Studies, particularly Crops and Plants.
  • Built Environment.
  • Engineering.
  • Information Technology.

Applicants should ensure that their intended qualification falls within one of the listed study areas.

Approved Institutions

Applicants must be studying or planning to study at one of the following KwaZulu-Natal institutions:

  • Durban University of Technology (DUT).
  • Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT).
  • University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN).
  • University of Zululand (UniZulu).

Applications for study at institutions outside this list are not supported by the supplied bursary criteria.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be South African citizens.
  • Be between 18 and 34 years old.
  • Reside in KwaZulu-Natal.
  • Be studying or intending to study towards an undergraduate qualification in one of the approved fields.
  • Be entering first, second, third or fourth year of study.
  • Be studying or intending to study at DUT, MUT, UKZN or UniZulu.
  • Have a strong academic record.
  • Not qualify for NSFAS funding.
  • Demonstrate financial need.

Selection Process

Bursary awards will take several factors into account, including:
