AfriSam Bursary Programme 2027
AfriSam is offering bursary opportunities to students who are studying or planning to study towards selected engineering qualifications.
The bursary will support up to:
3 years / 36 months of study
with the aim of helping students complete recognised qualifications and prepare for entry into the job market.
Fields of Study Covered
The bursary is available for the following study areas:
Peninsula Quarry: Civil Engineering Diploma
Rheebok Quarry: Mechanical Engineering Diploma
Bursary Duration
The bursary may fund up to:
36 months
This is intended to support completion of the relevant engineering qualification.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be studying or planning to study towards one of the approved engineering qualifications.
- Be studying or planning to study at a recognised and accredited university in South Africa.
- Have a strong academic record.
- Have achieved at least a 60% overall average.
- Demonstrate good behavioural standards.
Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African students and female students.

- Matric certificate.
- Curriculum Vitae.
