Programme Overview
The ABB Graduate in Training Programme is tailored to help graduates grow, learn, and develop within a supportive environment. Participants will:
- Gain knowledge and technical skills through vocational training.
- Split time between training sessions and practical workplace exposure.
- Collaborate with internal resources to deliver effective solutions.
- Participate in regular training, feedback, and mentorship sessions.
- Contribute to ABB’s Process Automation Business Area in South Africa.
Areas of Exposure
Graduates will have the opportunity to work in different functional areas, including:
- Corporate Marketing & Communication: Branding, communications, event management.
- Supply Chain Management & Logistics: Transport, trade, logistics, and supply chain operations.
- Human Resource Management: Employee lifecycle, learning & development, payroll, industrial relations.
- Finance & Accounting: Business controlling, accounts payable, and financial operations.
- Occupational Health & Safety: Health and safety initiatives and compliance.
- Information Technology & Information Systems: Managing technology systems and IT processes.
Minimum Requirements
- South African citizen.
- University graduate with no more than 2 years of work experience.
- Degree: BA/BCom in one of the following:
- Finance / Accounting
- Human Resources
- Supply Chain Management
- Health & Safety
- Marketing & Communication
- Minimum 65% average throughout studies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Growth mindset, problem-solving ability, innovation, and leadership potential.
