Agricultural Research Council (ARC): Bursaries 2023
Agricultural Research Council (ARC) invites South African student to apply for Bursary Programme 2023 academic year.
Bursary Application Closing Date: 29 August 2022
Bursaries will be awarded for Postgraduate (BSc or Honours, Masters and PhD) studies, in Agricultural Sciences, Engineering, and related fields.
The ARC have partnered with the Agricultural Sector Education & Training Authority (AgriSETA) to offer bursaries to agricultural science students, through their Professional Development Programme (PDP).\
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
- You must be a South African citizen
- You must be studying or intend on studying towards a postgraduate qualification in one of the fields listed above
- You must be registered at a public tertiary institution (University or University of Technology) in South Africa
- You must have a strong academic record
- Students with disabilities are encouraged to apply
- Students from Coloured, Indian and White communities are encouraged to apply

Applicants must use the relevant reference number when applying:
- BSc/ Honours students: HCD01Masters
- Masters students: HCD02Doctoral
- PhD students: HCD05Postdoc
Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your application (the submission of these documents is compulsory – if any items are missing, your application may be disqualified):
- ID document (certified copy)
- Academic records/ qualifications (certified copies)
- MSc/ MSc for PhD students: Honours certificate (certified copy)
- Proof of acceptance or proof of registration in 2022 academic year (on institutions letterhead)
- Statement of Account/ Fee Structure (on institutions letterhead)
- Motivational letter stating why you should be awarded the bursary (maximum 200 words) (read our tips on how to write a motivational letter for your bursary application)
