The Amcor Astrapak programme is aimed at developing skilled artisans through structured workplace training and accredited technical education, leading to a Trade Test qualification.

This apprenticeship combines hands-on workplace experience in the maintenance department with technical theory training (TT blocks) at a selected Technical College.

About the Programme
The 3-year apprenticeship programme is designed to:
- Provide practical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Develop technical and problem-solving skills
- Prepare apprentices for the Trade Test
- Produce qualified artisans ready for industry
Upon successful completion, candidates will gain certification and trade qualification in the Millwright field.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Matric or equivalent
- Mathematics (Core) and Physical Science
- Minimum N2 qualification in relevant Engineering studies
- Must not have previously participated in any work-related programme
- Must not be permanently employed
