About the EPWP Programme
The municipality is recruiting 104 EPWP Participants as part of the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP).
This programme aims to provide temporary employment and income support, while giving participants basic work experience in community service and infrastructure maintenance.
Job Details
- Position: EPWP Participants (x104 posts)
- Wage Rate: R150.00 per day
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Minimum STD 6 / Grade 08
- Certified copy of ID
- Proof of residence from the relevant ward councillor
Key Performance Areas
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Road patching
- Grass cutting
- Bush clearing
- Waste collection
- Street cleaning
- Traffic control
- School patrol
- Performing any other duties as required
Selection Criteria
- Women, youth, and people living with disabilities are encouraged to apply
- Candidates will be placed in various villages within the municipality
- Recruitment will follow EPWP targets:
- Youth: 55%
- Women: 60%
- People with disabilities: 2%
