Internship Overview

Ardagh Glass Packaging is offering a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Trainees Programme aimed at students who require practical workplace experience (P1/P2 or experiential training) to complete their qualifications.

This programme provides hands-on exposure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, allowing participants to build technical skills, gain industry knowledge, and improve their workplace readiness. Trainees will work alongside experienced professionals while contributing to real operational tasks across different departments.

Fields of Exposure

Successful candidates will gain experience in the following fields:

  • Human Resources Management
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Instrumentation / Electronics
  • Safety and Environmental Management

Role Description

The programme is designed to help trainees support daily departmental operations while gaining practical experience aligned with their field of study in a manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily operations in the allocated department
  • Support supervisors and team members with tasks and projects
  • Gain practical exposure to manufacturing processes
  • Follow safety standards and company procedures
  • Complete assigned training and workplace assessments

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Currently enrolled at a recognised, accredited institution
  • Must require WIL / experiential training to graduate
  • Provide a P1/P2 letter from a University of Technology or an experiential training letter from a TVET College
