Objective of the Role

As a Talent Acquisition Intern, you will support Aspen’s recruitment team by assisting with the identification, engagement, and onboarding of talent across various business functions. This role provides valuable exposure to recruitment processes within a regulated, science-driven industry, while building strong HR and talent acquisition skills.


Key Responsibilities

The successful intern will be responsible for:

  • Supporting end-to-end recruitment processes from job posting to onboarding
  • Assisting with CV screening and candidate shortlisting
  • Coordinating interviews with candidates and hiring managers
  • Conducting reference and risk checks
  • Maintaining and updating applicant tracking systems
  • Supporting employer branding initiatives
  • Assisting with recruitment reporting and general administrative tasks
  • Contributing ideas to improve candidate experience and recruitment processes

Minimum Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or Life Sciences
  • An Honours qualification will be an added advantage

Soft Skills and Competencies

Applicants should demonstrate:

  • Strong interest in recruitment, HR, and employer branding
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Comfort working with data and digital recruitment tools
  • High attention to detail and strong administrative ability
