About the Learnership Programme
Learnerships and skills programmes in the mining sector are aligned with the Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA).
- Training is based on prescribed Unit Standards
- Credits are recorded on the MQA database
- On successful completion, learners receive an MQA certificate
- A formal Trade Test is required at the end of the learnership
This programme provides both theoretical and practical training.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- N2 qualification with the following subjects:
- Mathematics (Not Mathematics Literacy)
- Engineering Science
- Industrial Electronics
Additional Requirements:
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science (Required)
- N2/N3 Engineering Studies (Required)
- Valid Driver’s Licence Code B/EB (Advantageous)
- Dover “B” Symbol (Required)
- Pass the Technical Test Battery Assessment (Required)
- English Literacy (Required)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
