Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA) Bursaries 2022
Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA) invites qualifying students to apply for Bursary Programme 2022 academic year.

Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA) are inviting students to apply for the bursary programme, for the 2022 academic year.
The AGSA bursary will be awarded for Chartered Accountancy studies, particularly the following qualifications:
- BCom Accounting CA stream
- Bachelor of Accounting CA stream
- BCompt
The bursary will cover the following expenses: tuition fees, prescribed textbooks, meals and accommodation at university.
Bursary recipients will be required to partake in training with AGSA once they have graduated or serve articles.
Requirements
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
Matric students (applying for 1st year):
- You must be a South African citizen
- You must be currently in Matric
- You must achieve a minimum result of 60% for English in Matric
- You must achieve a minimum result of 60% for Mathematics (NOT Mathematics Literacy) in Matric
- You must pass Matric with an exemption and university entrance
- You must be accepted to study at a SAICA-accredited University
- You must intend on studying full-time towards a Chartered Accountancy qualification (as listed above)
- You must be starting your 1st year of study in 2022
1st year students (applying for 2nd year):
- You must be a South African citizen
- You must be in your 1st year of full-time study towards a Chartered Accountancy qualification (as listed above)
- You must be starting your 2nd year of study in 2022
- You must be studying at a SAICA-accredited University
- You must achieve a minimum result of 60% for Financial Accounting in your 1st year
- You must have achieved a minimum result of 60% for English in Matric
- You must have achieved a minimum result of Mathematics (NOT Mathematics Literacy) in Matric
2nd year students (applying for 3rd year):
- You must be a South African citizen
- You must be in your 2nd year of full-time study towards a Chartered Accountancy qualification (as listed above)
- You must be starting your 3rd year of study in 2022
- You must be studying at a SAICA-accredited University
- You must achieve a minimum result of 60% for Financial Accounting in your 2nd year
- You must achieve a minimum result of 60% for Management Accounting in your 2nd year
Final year students (applying for postgraduate studies):
- You must be a South African citizen
- You must be in your final year of full-time study towards a Chartered Accountancy qualification (as listed above)
- You must be starting your postgraduate studies in 2022
- You must achieve a minimum result of 55% for all core modules in your final year
- You must have been accepted into the CTA program
Students must ALSO meet the following requirements in order to apply:
- Be fluent in English
- Have strong communication skills
- Have excellent interpersonal skills
- Have strong leadership potential
- Be determined, driven and committed to success
