Bakubung Platinum Mine (BPM) invites unemployed youth to apply for Learnership Programme 2024 / 2025.

Role Description:
Bakubung Platinum Mine is offering a valuable opportunity for young, passionate, and committed individuals—both employed and unemployed—who seek to gain a nationally recognized qualification in engineering, mining, or process plant operations. These learnerships are designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and practical experience to grow within the mining industry.
Fields of Study Offered:
- Engineering: Rigging, Fitting, Boilermaking, Instrumentation, Millwright, Electrical
- Mining Level 2 and 3
- Mineral Processing Level 2
Minimum Requirements:
- N2 certificate with Mathematics and Engineering Science OR
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science OR
- Technical Matric with relevant trade theory.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be medically fit for work in the specified area.
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Age between 18 – 35 years old.
- Clear criminal record.

- Problem-solving and creative thinking abilities.
- Safety awareness.
- Responsibility and commitment to tasks.

Additional Information:
- Preference will be given to applicants residing within a 50km radius of Bakubung Platinum Mine.
- This is a bursary programme, and there is no guarantee of permanent employment after completion.
