About the Youth Employment Programme
The Clicks Youth Employment Programme is designed to provide unemployed young people with both classroom-based learning and practical, on-the-job training within a retail store environment.
Participants will:
- Receive structured classroom learning
- Gain practical retail experience in-store
- Develop customer service skills
- Learn checkout and point-of-sale operations
- Build workplace confidence and professional behaviour
Upon successful completion of the programme, learners will receive a:
NQF Level 2 Occupational Qualification: Checkout Operator
This qualification improves employability within the retail and service sectors.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be between 18 and 29 years old
- Must have passed Grade 12 / Matric
- Must be unemployed
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Willingness to learn
- Must not currently be registered on another Learnership or Skills Programme
