CNH Industrial Apprenticeships 2025: Apply for Earthmoving Machinery Technician Training

CNH Industrial invites South African unemployed youth to apply for the Apprentice Programme 2025 in the technical division.

Apprenticeship Location: Isando (x3 positions), Pinetown (x1 position), South Africa


Position: Technical Apprentice (x4 Posts)

Division: Construction
Reporting To: Senior Service Manager


Purpose of the Programme:

The apprenticeship offers a structured path to becoming a qualified mechanic in earthmoving machinery maintenance. Apprentices gain hands-on technical experience and complete MerSETA-accredited training in workshop and field settings, learning under the guidance of qualified technicians.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in:
    • Servicing capital equipment
    • Engine, transmission, and differential rebuilds
    • Injector pump repairs
    • Auto-electrical fault finding
    • Hydraulic system repairs and hose fitting
    • Welding tasks
  • On-the-job training and skills development
  • Complete technical documents:
    • Experience sheets, timesheets, breakdown reports, tool registers
    • MerSETA training records required for trade test qualification

Minimum Requirements:

  • N2 Certificate or Matric with the following subjects:
    • Mathematics (NOT Maths Literacy)
    • English

  • Technically minded with good problem-solving skills
  • Strong work ethic – honest, reliable, and dedicated
  • Ability to adapt and work well in a team
