De Beers Group invites unemployed graduates to apply for Traineeship Programme 2024 / 2025.

Please note this role is a 24 month Contract
This role reports into the Technical Services Unit in the Technology Development and Engineering department.
As a Graduate:
Mechanical Engineering, you will provide Mechanical Engineering support as part of a team and will be registered at the Engineering Council of South Africa as a Candidate Engineer. You will complete your Development Plan and exposure requirements under the supervision of Competent Engineers to ensure continuous improvement in operational efficiency according to business needs. You will develop technical and operational capabilities in Mechanical Engineering activities related to the business.
This is an exciting opportunity for graduates who want to have a smarter future within mining. This is a two year graduate programme with De Beers Marine, based in Cape Town. You have the chance to make a difference in real projects and follow a structured learning development journey.

Formal qualifications:
- Any one of the following Qualification: Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, BSc Mechatronic Engineering, BSc in Mechanical Engineering or MSc in Mechanical Engineering
- Registered as a Candidate Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa will be advantageous.
- Completed your degree within the last 2 years.
- Have no more than two years of relevant work experience.
