The Department of Defence is inviting applications for Vetting Session Workers (Freelancers) within the Defence Intelligence Division in Pretoria.
The posts are offered on a two-year fixed contract basis.

Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Minimum Grade 12, NQF Level 4, or equivalent
- Diploma, Advanced Certificate or National Diploma, NQF Level 6
The qualification should be in the Faculty of Humanities, specialising in fields such as:
- Social Sciences
- Psychology
- Counselling
- Investigation
- Social Work
- Criminology
- Other relevant qualifications or certificates
Applicants must also have:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in administration or client interaction
OR
- Minimum of 1 year experience in field investigation or evaluation
- Valid driving licence
- Own vehicle

Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Planning and preparing files and other relevant administration
- Conducting documentary enquiries
- Gathering information
- Conducting vetting investigations through interviews
- Writing reports based on documentary enquiries and interviews
- Compiling and submitting reports to the Director: Vetting Management
- Submitting required vetting files and completed reports on a regular basis
- Providing inputs for the development and implementation of policies, guidelines, norms and standards in vetting investigation
Training and Compensation
The first three months will be training.
During the training period, candidates will be compensated with a stipend of R8 174.75.
Kilometre claims will be reimbursed according to inline tariffs.
