Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • An undergraduate qualification at NQF Level 6 recognised by SAQA in one of the following:
    • Public Management
    • Public Administration
    • Operations Management
    • Business Management
    • Administration
    • Law
    • Social Science
  • 1 year experience in operations, client service or customer service environment
  • A valid driverโ€™s licence

Duties and Responsibilities

Successful candidates will:

  • Supervise daily civic services operations
  • Ensure effective service delivery
  • Produce quality reports on turnaround times and error rates
  • Implement quality assurance measures
  • Safeguard records and documentation
  • Allocate and monitor staff work performance
  • Perform end-of-day duties and reporting
  • Identify operational challenges and recommend improvements
  • Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Supervise ID smart card applications and birth registrations
  • Manage travel and citizenship document services
  • Ensure effective management of resources within the unit
