Security Officer (NKP) – Ref No: 240426/03 (X4 Posts)
Salary: R193 359 per annum (Level 04)
Location: Central Operations, Jericho Dam
Requirements
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)
- 1–3 years’ experience in the security industry
- PSIRA Grade C certificate
- Firearm Training Certificate (Business Purpose)
- SAPS competency certificate
- National Key Point (NKP) certificate
- Valid driver’s license (advantageous)
- Knowledge of Minimum Information Security Standards (MISS)
- No criminal record
Key Duties
- Guard and patrol departmental premises
- Enforce access control procedures
- Search vehicles and individuals entering premises
- Prevent unauthorized removal of equipment
- Operate control room equipment
- Record incidents and handle emergencies

Requirements
- Minimum NQF Level 2

- Basic knowledge of water distribution systems
- Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety
- Good communication and record-keeping skills
Key Duties
- Operate sluices and water distribution systems
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance
- Clean canals, grids, and structures
- Report defects and irregularities
- Maintain equipment and infrastructure

Requirements (Both General Worker Posts)
- ABET Certificate
- Relevant experience is advantageous
- Knowledge of gardening, maintenance, and equipment handling
- Basic understanding of infrastructure maintenance
Key Duties
- Perform general maintenance (gardening, painting, weed control)
- Inspect infrastructure such as dams, canals, and pipelines
- Report faults and hazards
- Load and offload equipment
- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety regulations
