About the Discovery Learnership Programme
The Discovery Long Term Insurance Learnership Programme offers unemployed youth an opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification while obtaining practical workplace experience in the financial services industry.
The programme leads to a:
- FETC: Long Term Insurance
- NQF Level 4 Qualification
This learnership combines structured theoretical learning with practical on-the-job training within Discoveryโs dynamic business environment.
Areas of Exposure
Successful learners may gain workplace experience in:
- Medical Aid client servicing
- Claims administration
- New business support
- Health benefits administration
- Call centre operations
- Financial services administration
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Mathematics with minimum Level 4 (50%)
OR - Mathematical Literacy with minimum Level 5 (60%)
- English minimum Level 4 (50%)
- Second language minimum Level 4 (50%)
Additional Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be between 18 and 25 years old
- Be unemployed
- Not be studying full-time
- Not have completed a previous learnership
- Have good verbal and written English communication skills
- Have basic computer skills, especially:
- MS Excel
- MS Outlook
An incomplete tertiary qualification will be advantageous.
