Ekurhuleni West TVET College (EWC) invites new and returning students to apply online for the 2025 Semester 2 intake. Applications are open for students pursuing NATED Engineering programmes, and the closing date is 20 June 2025.

Who Should Apply?
You’re considered a new student if:
- You are applying to Ekurhuleni West TVET College for the first time.
- You have never registered for any course at EWC before.
- You don’t have a previous EWC student number.
How To Apply Online to Ekurhuleni West College
Step 1: Complete the Placement Test
Before submitting your application, all applicants must complete a compulsory online placement screening test. This test helps identify the most suitable course for your skillset.
Warning: Do not allow anyone else to complete the screening for you – incorrect results may lead to poor performance.
Complete your placement test via the EWC website.
Step 2: Submit Your Online Application
- Visit the official EWC Online Application portal
- Scroll to “Please Select”
- Choose “YES” or “NO” (depending on whether you’ve started an application)
- Read and accept the POPI clause
- Complete all sections as prompted
- Upload all required supporting documents
Returning Students
If you are a current or former student who is continuing your studies, you must also apply online using the same portal. Select the appropriate option for returning students when prompted.
Documents Required for Application
Ensure your certified documents are ready for upload:
- Grade 12 certificate or latest school results
- Certified ID copy
- Proof of residence
NSFAS applicants must additionally upload proof of income and IDs of parents or legal guardians.
