Overview of the Hospitality Trainees Programme 2026
Ekurhuleni West TVET College is offering an exciting opportunity for unemployed graduates with an N6 Hospitality Certificate to gain practical experience through its Hospitality Trainees Programme.
This 18-month programme is designed to equip trainees with hands-on experience in hospitality operations, kitchen management, and food service environments.
Participants will receive a monthly stipend of R4,500, while gaining valuable workplace exposure in a structured training environment.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- N6 Hospitality Certificate
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be involved in:
- Compiling and placing orders
- Stock taking (food and equipment)
- Store keeping and issuing ingredients
- Nutrition and menu planning
- Assisting lecturers with demonstrations
- Cooking food for crèche
- Liaising with suppliers
- Generating quotations
- Assisting with planning functions
- Maintaining MSDS records in the kitchen
- Ensuring OHS administration compliance
- Supervising students during functions and restaurant days
