Electoral Commission of South Africa is offering a 24-month Internship Programme in Civic Education and Research.
This opportunity is ideal for graduates who want to gain experience within a Chapter 9 constitutional institution, supporting democratic processes, civic education, and stakeholder engagement.

Internship Responsibilities
Successful candidates will gain exposure and assist with:
- General administrative duties for Civic Education and Research
- Supporting the Outreach Management System (OMS)
- Assisting with stakeholder management and coordination
- Compiling and distributing documents to stakeholders
- Preparing reports, presentations, and taking minutes
- Maintaining filing systems and correspondence
- Coordinating outreach and research activities
- Supporting logistics and general office functions
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Have Matric / Grade 12 / N3 / NTC Level 4
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in:
- Public Administration
- Political Sciences
- Be 35 years or younger
- Be unemployed
- Must not have:
- Previously worked in their field of study
- Participated in an internship programme before
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
- Ability to learn new systems and software
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Professionalism and strong interpersonal skills

- Preference will be given to people with disabilities
