Job Description

The successful graduate will support the team with the coordination and execution of commercial initiatives and projects across various business areas.

The candidate will assist with monitoring the performance of catering products and ancillary revenue streams to identify trends, opportunities and operational challenges.

The graduate will also support the implementation and post-implementation review of ancillary products, promotions and commercial initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will assist with competitor and market analysis to support commercial decision-making and identify industry trends and opportunities.

They will assist with developing and maintaining process documentation, standard operating procedures, checklists, trackers and operational controls.

The graduate will support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency, reporting visibility, customer experience and commercial performance.

They will also maintain accurate records, documentation and filing systems relating to commercial activities and projects.

Rotational Exposure

The successful candidate will participate in structured rotational exposure across various commercial functions.

These may include catering, ancillary revenue, partnerships, distribution and GDS support.

The graduate will build knowledge and understanding of airline commercial operations, customer trends, revenue drivers and industry practices.

Reporting and Data Analysis Duties

The graduate will assist with preparing and maintaining weekly and monthly commercial reports, dashboards, presentations and performance summaries.

The candidate will also assist with compiling business cases and management reports relating to ancillary products and commercial initiatives.

Supplier and Internal Support Duties

They will assist with liaising with internal departments, suppliers and service providers regarding operational queries, reconciliations, recurring issues and follow-up actions.

The graduate will also assist with monitoring supplier performance and following up on outstanding actions to support operational and service delivery standards.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have Grade 12 or equivalent.

Applicants must have a Bachelorโ€™s Degree in a relevant field, such as:

BCom.

Business Science.

Industrial Engineering.

Supply Chain.
