This experiential learning programme aims to develop a sustainable pool of young local firefighters while supporting community safety and municipal service delivery.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following:
- Grade 12
- Age: 20–35 years
- Fire Fighter I
- Fire Fighter II
- Hazmat Awareness
- First Aid Level 3
- Valid Code C Driver’s Licence (Code EC is an added advantage)
- Physically and mentally fit
- Hazmat Operational (added advantage)

- Fully completed Official Application Form (Govan Mbeki Municipality)
- Comprehensive CV
- Certified copy of ID
- Certified copies of completed qualifications
- Copy of municipal services account
- SAQA verification (for foreign qualifications)
